24: Season 4

Animation and design and for a 24: Season 4 promotional spot. Studio stills were cropped and animated to simulate a children's pop-up book with the theme 'The House that Jack Built'.

2008 Promax Gold Award Winner in the category Dramatic Program Spot


24: Season 5

Animation and design for a 24: Season 5 promotional spot. Keys, grids and images were animated in 3D space and designed to evoke a 'technological meltdown' atmosphere.


Law & Order: Criminal Intent

Animation and design for a Law & Order: Criminal Intent promotional spot. Blood spattered keys and closeups of a chalk outline animation were intercut with program footage. The spot ends with the chalk outline transforming itself into the '&' of the Law & Order logo.

2007 Bronze Promax Award Winner in the category Broadcast Television Station Promotional Animation.


96.9 JackFm

Animation, design and motion tracking for a JackFM commercial. Paper doll style costumes from various bands and musicians attached themselves to radio hosts Larry and Willy as the background music changed.


Vaisakhi Parade

Animation and design for the opening animation of Channel M's 2007 Vaisakhi Parade coverage. Traditional colors and textures were combined with 2D animations of Sikh symbols and imagery related to Vaisakhi's theme of celebration and renewal. Other elements such as bumpers, lower third namekeys and promotional spots were also designed as part of the show package.


world.beats

Animation, design and compositing for the opening animation of world.beats, a weekly world music show. Silhouettes of host and dancer footage were combined with 2D animations and a colorful palette to evoke the energy and spirit of the show. Other elements such as bumpers, segment openings, lower third namekeys and a virtual set were also designed as part of the show package.


Christmas Station IDs and Christmas Triva Quiz Promotion (2007)

Animation and design for a series of Christmas Station IDs and a Christmas Trivia Quiz Promotion. In keeping with Channel M's theme of diversity, various cultural images (of hats, shoes, clothing, etc) were combined with tradional Christmas imagery using a stop-motion, paper cutout style.

2008 Gold Promax Award Winner in the category Holiday/Special Event Campaign. 2008 Silver Promax Award Winner in the category Program Promotional Campaign.


Christmas Station IDs (2004-2006)

Animation and design for a series of Christmas Station IDs. Simple palettes and vector graphics were animated for a number of Christmas vignettes over the 2004-2006 holiday seasons.

2005 and 2006 Gold Promax Awards inthe category ID Campaign. 2007 Silver Promax Award in the category Broadcast Television Station Holiday Image Campaign. 2007 Bronze Promax Award in the category Broadcast Television Station Promotional Animation Campaign.


Channel M News

Animation and design for Channel M News, an evening newscast delivered in Cantonese, Mandarin and Punjabi. Footage of local events, scenery and the Channel M News team were combined with 2D animations of grids, logos and maps. Other elements such as bumpers, segment openings, lower third namekeys, over-the-shoulder graphics were also designed as part of the news package.


Workout

Animation, design and compositing for a spot promoting Workout, an exercise and dance workout series. Abstract animated swirls, particles and enviroments were created for each of the 4 dance groups featured over the course of the spot. This look was later translated into the show package including openings, bumpers, lower third namekeys and logo design.

2008 Silver Promax Award Winner in the category Daytime Program Spot.


Fall Season Advertising Campaign

A series of posters advertising the channel m fall lineup. All posters were designed in Adobe Photoshop and adapted to various media including bus shelters, magazine ads and displays.


Talent Posters

A series of posters showcasing channel m on-air talent. All posters were designed in Adobe Photoshop and displayed in the lobby of the channel m building. Adobe Photoshop was also used for retouching, cropping and masking the photography of the talent.

Poster promoting channel m chinese cinema. The poster was designed in Photoshop and adapted to various media including bus shelters, magazine ads and displays.
